Simplifying the cloud migration trial process and clarifying its benefits for customers.

Context

The previous landing page for Atlassian’s cloud migration trial left users unclear about eligibility requirements and sign-up steps, as highlighted in user feedback. The lack of clear structure made it difficult for users to find information.

Goal

Redesign the landing page to effectively guide customers through the trial process, providing clear information on eligibility and available options.

Content Strategy

To increase engagement, I introduced a benefits section at the top of the page to showcase the trial’s advantages upfront. I shared content and tone recommendations with the team to align messaging with the page.

Constraints

With extensive content across trial stages, it was essential to present resources cohesively. Since the existing guide was unstructured and couldn’t be redesigned, I used a tabbed pattern to segment information by trial stage, simplifying navigation.

Handoff

I handed off the wireframes to the visual designer, ensuring alignment with the design system for consistent typography, grid structure, and component use. Through open communication and prompt feedback, we achieved a smooth transition to the final design.

Final Design

The redesign emphasizes trial benefits and guides users step-by-step through the process, with strategically placed links directing users to relevant sections of the guide.
